Mardi Gras is a parish party, open to all, that is celebrated on the last Sunday before the Lenten season begins.  The activities include: purchasing food items from Faith Sharing Groups, games with prizes, and a gathering place to listen or dance to great jazz music, provided by 37th Street Jazz Band.  This event creates an opportunity for Resurrection’s 9th and 10th grade students to be involved in a special service project that shows support and assistance to one another and the wider community. Our teens bring creative energy in their decorating, enthusiasm through their hard work, and joy in the conversations they share with parishioners.  With the help of their parents, faith sharing leaders, and parish volunteers this fundraiser and service project makes a difference by providing Resurrection with an event that build community, fellowship, and funds.
