| Description of Position: | ||
| Catechists prepare and teach a group of preschoolers the lesson that corresponds with the schedule. They must review the provided lesson plan/activities in the Teacher's Manual, teach the lesson, choose a craft, gather supplies, and help the students to make the craft. Lessons also include bible stories to read to the children. | ||

| Class is held during 8:30 or 10:00 am Masses most Sundays | One year (Sept. to April). Catechists teach approximately half of the Sundays that Sunday School meets. | |

| There is a teacher meeting in the fall. There is a supporting binder of materials and a teacher's manual. You meet and talk with the Director as much or as little as needed. Teachers need to complete the Diocese of Winona's "Safe and Sacred" online program. | Ability to work well with preschoolers. Flexibility and patience. |
